Established in 1947, Morley Builders is a premier provider of construction services in Southern California. It specializes in various projects, including institutional and civic structures, education facilities, parking structures, commercial buildings, and multifamily residential complexes. Through subsidiaries Morley Construction Company and Benchmark Contractors, Inc., the company offers comprehensive general contracting services, including pre construction, design-build, seismic strengthening, preservation, modernization, and LEED® rated services. Morley Builders, an employee-owned private corporation, comprises over 175 professionals and 300 skilled tradespeople. Recognized among Engineering News Record’s Top 400 Contractors, the company has offices in Santa Monica, Irvine, and San Diego, along with an eco-friendly equipment yard in Montebello.

Morley Builders faced limited and inconsistent Wi-Fi coverage in critical locations, including Radian Apartments, Thatcher Yard and, 200 Mesnager Street Apartments. It resulted in connectivity issues, dead zones, and slow network performance, negatively impacting productivity, communication, and overall user experience. The existing network infrastructure needed to be improved and replaced to meet the growing demands for a seamless and reliable wireless connection, affecting day-to-day operations and user satisfaction.

The project aimed to address Wi-Fi coverage issues by strategically installing and configuring 5 Meraki access points and three switches with four cable drops in specified Morley Builders locations. This initiative aimed to provide comprehensive coverage, ensuring a consistent and reliable wireless network throughout Radian Apartments, Thatcher Yard in UCSD, and the central corporate locations. The project also aimed to enhance connectivity, eliminate dead zones, and optimize network performance, ultimately improving productivity and user satisfaction.

In response to Morley Builders' challenges with limited and inconsistent Wi-Fi coverage in critical locations, PM2net devised a comprehensive action plan to enhance connectivity and address the identified issues. The project involved installing and configuring advanced Meraki MR45 Access Points (APs), accompanied by the crucial step of licensing activation to ensure optimal performance. Three strategically placed Meraki Go switches were installed at critical locations, and four cable drops were implemented to establish a robust physical network foundation. PM2net performed site-specific configurations, considering building layout and user density factors, to maximize coverage and optimize network performance. 

Rigorous testing and quality assurance procedures were conducted to verify the effectiveness of the new network configuration and address any potential issues. Devices like Ekahau were used for wireless surveys.  Furthermore, detailed plan was carried out fro the deployment. User training sessions were provided to educate employees, residents, and users on connecting to and utilizing the enhanced Wi-Fi network, with ongoing support established to promptly address concerns or technical issues. A continuous monitoring and maintenance system was implemented to address emerging issues and proactively ensure sustained optimal performance. 

By executing this holistic action plan, PM2net aimed to eliminate dead zones, enhance connectivity, and improve productivity and user satisfaction across critical locations, including Radian Apartments, Thatcher Yard and, 900 Mesnager Street Apartment.

PM2net's holistic approach successfully addressed the identified challenges, providing Morley Builders with a robust and reliable Wi-Fi infrastructure that positively impacted day-to-day operations and overall user experience.
